Set the stage- ensure that learners are provided with a context of why you are using the whole-group response strategy you have selected.
Explain to learners what to do, so that expectations are made clear.
Model the way. Demonstrate what expected response method will look like.
Provide time for guided practice.
Offer opportunities for independent practice and utilize the same strategies until learners are familiar and comfortable.
Offer learners with feedback and assessment on responses.
